FC Barcelona fought until the end, but Inter Milan, after a brilliant two-game series and a 7:6 victory, will play in the grand final of the Champions League. Nicola Zalewski and Piotr Zieliński have a chance for an exceptional triumph. And the latter commented on the team's success in a lively manner.

It was definitely a fantastic double-header. I am glad that we are coming out victorious. It is a historic result. I hope that we will manage to win this trophy. I will not hide that it is a dream from my childhood and I worked hard for it. Applause for the team, the stadium, the fans. It was clear from the beginning that everyone wanted one thing, that is to advance to the final – admitted the Polish representative on Canal+ Sport.

In his conversation with Michał Żyra, Piotr Zieliński also revealed how his team felt during the break, when they were leading 2-0. There was no question of surprise.

- Quite the opposite. We told ourselves that we have to remember that it's Barcelona and everything can change at any moment. We have to be at maximum concentration all the time. There was definitely less concentration than in the first half, but our opponents also sped up and their moves were better. In the end, we managed to equalize and win in extra time. Something beautiful. Really beautiful emotions and we are happy that we are the ones who are on top in this two-game series - admitted Piotr Zieliński.

– Most of these guys played at the Champions League final level two years ago and you could see how much they wanted to bring back that moment and get back to the final. So kudos to them for that. But the whole team, the whole staff, the fans really did their best here so that we would get to the final – summed up the Pole.
